My Haiku for Avi today

I feel Avi here

unsuppressable by death

heart like the open sky



I was at this Hollywood spirituality event last night, where Eckhart Tolle and many others spoke. During the inevitable spiritual schmoozing afterwards, someone mentioned the idea of being limited by our beliefs. I walked up to this group of almost celebrities and wannabe's and repeated Avi's last performed haiku...

Remembering Avi

I remember a small poster in Avi's living room...



"One day while walking through the wilderness a monk stumbled upon a vicious tiger. He ran but soon came to the edge of a high cliff.
