Adina, Gabe and I thank you from the depths of our hearts for contributing your presence, your poems and your loving thoughts to the memorial honoring Avi Bob, on the day of (almost ) the anniversary of his passing into a different realm. He would think it "astounding" that so many of you showed up with your hearts full of love and memories of him, while he wanted "to be remembered for someone who did not need to be remembered". Remember?
Thank you Kaveen for your magical poetry. Thank you all for the food you brought. Thank you Dillard for making the room possible for us to use. And finally thank you all for being so wonderfully open and supportive to me. Even though you hardly know me your outpour of affection has been "astoundingly impressive" (Avi's own words) and absolutely heart warming (mine). I feel your love and I bask in it. I hope you know how grateful I am to you and how increasingly connected to you I feel. Take good care of yourself and try to live your life in full, because that's what he would want for you and also because it makes such good sense.
